Nonviolent Communication is a philosophy and technique for understanding and

communicating in the words of its founder, how life could be, "more wonderful," as well

how wonderful life already is. It is helpful for individuals and relationships.

But we all get stuck, even dammed, at times. This can be due to conflicting internal desires, destructive habits that keep us from behaving in harmony with our desires, or conflictive relationships, in which we clash over values, decisions, or emotional styles. We can feel misunderstood, unappreciated, stifled, and sometimes hopeless.

Internal Family Systems therapy and Nonviolent Communication are complementary modalities that help individuals access the heart's natural wellspring of compassion, clarity, creativity and courage, and use it to heal, nurture, and integrate the tired, wounded, disconnected inner parts and outer relationships into a healthy, harmonious network of passionate focus, playfulness, creativity, and love.
